Stouffville Change of Use: Glow Town Putt N Play

Permit Man was selected to lead the complete design and permit process for a commercial change of use project in Stouffville, Ontario. The project involved transforming a vacant 11,293 sq ft retail unit into a vibrant family entertainment centre featuring indoor blacklight mini golf, VR stations, arcade gaming, and event-hosting areas.

Our Scope of Work

We started with detailed measurements and existing condition drawings. A zoning by-law review confirmed feasibility—then we gathered the client’s wish list, which included game zones, staff offices, universal washrooms, storage, and party rooms. Our architectural designs included full OBC compliance, occupancy analysis, exit paths, barrier-free access, fire separation, reflected ceiling plans, and mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler) with equipment specs. Permit Management

We prepared and submitted a complete permit package to the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, managed all discipline submissions, responded to zoning and building department comments, and handled revisions. Construction Support

During construction, we provided on-site contractor coordination, supplementary technical letters, assisted with inspections, and ensured compliance for final approvals.
