Golf Driving Range Structure Design & Permit – Ajax, ON
Permit Man was hired to design and obtain a building permit for a covered hitting bay structure at a golf driving range located in Ajax, Ontario. The objective was to provide golfers with a sheltered practice space that protects from weather while preserving full swing capability. As a result, we designed an open-air structure that maintained both function and aesthetics. The final structure includes 17 player bays and one utility bay, spanning 175 feet in length and 16 feet in width.
Built using pressure-treated wood and galvanized Simpson Strong-Tie® connectors, the structure is supported by cylindrical concrete footings engineered for long-term durability and structural compliance with local building codes.
