Golf Driving Range Structure Design & Permit in Ajax, ON

About This Project

Permit Man was hired to design and obtain a building permit for a covered hitting bay structure at a golf driving range in Ajax, Ontario.

The goal was to give golfers a sheltered practice space that protects from the weather while preserving full swing capability.

We designed an open-air structure that balances function and aesthetics, delivering 17 player bays and one utility bay, spanning 175 feet in length and 16 feet in width.

The structure was built using pressure-treated wood and galvanized Simpson Strong-Tie®
connectors, supported by cylindrical concrete footings engineered for long-term durability and structural compliance with local building codes.
